What was NXIVM?
NXIVM was founded in 1998, by Keith Raniere and Nancy Salzman. Along with perhaps some other people.
Nxivm was meant to help the individual reach their optimal Success, their best self and a betterment for humanity. It was a revolutionary, educational, professional organization (they claimed). The aim they openly stated was helping people find their true potential, but also make them gain a “Profound” perspective about Relationships, the educational system, human behavior, psychology, creativity, how to teach/educate children and perspection itself. They wanted to change the world, no violence, fear, sadness, only love. Which is great right? Unfortunately even though they mentioned all of this, their real intentions weren’t nice.
They were all a hypocritical statement.
Towards the end of 2015 the door locks were cracked open, collateral was being stolen/lost, NXIVM was finally starting to get exposed. Rumors about it being a pyramid scheme, cult-like company were rising, the American side of the companies were and are now dead. (Or moved unto somewhere else)
But some are indeed still operating.
D.O.S Dominion over the Slave
It has been discovered that NXIVM had a secret society (dated by investigators to be founded in: 2015), it was called “DOS” Dominion Over the Slave. Not all NXIVM female members were allowed to join, it was chosen ones, chosen by either Keith himself or high members of NXIVM.
At the beginning the chosen ones were usually the ones that already had some intimate relationship with Raniere. For some reason however (maybe Keith was desperate) it started also involving people who never had anything intimate with Keith, they were people they thought were prepared to join, their mindset, blind TRUST had to be already on NXIVM or some love/trust for befriended-members.
It is proven that Allison Mack was one of the highranking members, because of being the Hollywood gateway to recruit other celebrities into NXIVM. But also to allow the branding to happen at her house. Perhaps that was the reason of her also having the opportunity to have their initials in the branding.
Allison said in 2017: “I have a wonderful teacher and mentor named Keith Raniere, who really gave me some incredible guidance.” Recently however she cried stating that she was manipulated by Keith and didn’t know exactly what she was doing. But when can we trust someone who always lied for years and years about the same thing?
Not that no one can give in or regret their own doings but, in this case it’s very difficult to determine what is what. So, what do you think?
How DOS worked
From hearing some interviews and reading through some articles I found that NXIVM would never state the reality of DOS to the DOS invited ones. People would be invited to DOS by their coaches, which after some years, it is normal that some were friends, good friends…etc, which leads one to blindly trust them.
This case happened with Sarah Edmondson who had Lauren Salzman as her friend and coach. Lauren invited Sarah to DOS, saying it had nothing to do with Keith that it was a womens empowerment thing and that Lauren was still her coach, the difference was only that Sarah would call her Master instead of teacher. Lauren described the mark as a “tattoo”, where she stated that hers was the most glorious, amazing thing she ever did within the DOS. When in reality, it was the most traumatic thing one could do.
Getting branded…
Before joining, Lauren asked Sarah for collateral. Sarah didnt have enough harmful collateral, so she had to make up one. That was harmful enough. The day she was branded Sarah described, that they put her and the others with a blindfold, told them not to peak and made extra turns for disorientation. Sarah said, she peaked when she arrived at the place; and realized it was Allison’s Mack house.
When she and the other women got in there, they were told to get naked and to not be ashamed. Afterall there were only women there. They claimed. They all got in a circle and one would lay down while some would hold her still. When realizing what they were about to go through, all started crying or panicking.
The “Masters” told them, that if they’d move, it would hurt longer, but if they kept still it would end much quicker.
Lauren said to sarah that she could do this, that she would be so proud of her and she would represent the loyalty she had to NXIVM. That she would show all these other women how to do it right and quicker. So, she did… and they were proud.
According to sarah, those who moved more would last about 40 minutes until finished, those who moved less 20 to 30 minutes.
The Slaves
Slaves had to answer their phones at all times if the Master called. Everytime they would go drive somewhere, eat, to the bathroom..etc they always had to say “Black” driving, “Black” eating…etc and if they were gone all day, they had to be prepared to answer at any time at night. If not replied or answered in a minute, they would be punished.
Sarah never stated that she had to have sex with Keith, so we can say that even DOS had a preparation system. Just like ESP, you had to grow and recruit. Before one becoming Keiths Sex slave, they would probably have to learn even more submission. But also do enough harming unto themselves, which would give NXIVM more win collateral. These rules of answering at the minute, were in some ways preparing them to surrend towards submission in my opinion.
ESP Executive Success Programs
ESP is another name for NXIVM, both are technically the same. Yet, Nxivm seems more to be a name that covers all the sub companies within it. Within ESP you would have different programs where you could choose from to achieve your highest potential through them.
Keith Raniere claimed on the old ESP website to have over 16’000 active members and many companies based in over 30 Countries.
“We want People who truly wanna be, here” They said. “If somebody doesn’t want to grow, this is the last place they should be.”
That is basically what those initiatives programs were all for. For you to see if you adapt there, but also for them to evaluate, how you think, what you do and who you are in general. In that way, if necessary they can use the necessary emotional manipulation or psychological game on the individual as they study the behavior of the individual.
Within the ESP initiatives we would find programs such as:
ORIGINS TM (12 specialized Series offered in an Intimate Small group with two to four hour practices) -Understanding your own operational system – Grow/ Self Awareness/ Self esteem/ Human perception/ emotional states/ relationships
ETHOS TM– How to actually find Success(Based in 10 centers in North and Central America)
INTENSIVES– A five to sixteen day program sometimes up to 30 days, depending on how much and how fast the individual learnt.
RATIONAL INQUIRY TM
– Have an Open Mind, allow a shift on perception
– Cross traumas
They used the example of: If I put a wall in front of a piranha she will for the few first times try to go against it, attempting to break it. After giving up, if you remove that wall the piranha will never try to cross it. The invisible wall. Believing it is there when actually, it isn’t.
Here we can actually observe how they focused on understanding people in order to manipulate them.
They used a slow process of breaking someones opinion, belief, values..etc. It was not really about making you a person open for different opinions, it was slowly shape the person to whatever belief they wanted. Training them to be submissive, giving what they want, gaining their trust in order to later target them with fear and blackmail. Just like that fish, creating a wall in front of them but also removing it.
One interesting fact about rational Inquiry is that once you’re through it, you become a Rational inquiry certified, coach. With that you become a coach, the very first level in Ranieres Pyramid scheme. You would become the coach (a yellow one) of the white slashed ones (those who just started).
